the Passion series

And yes, I’m one of those. Passionately. Like many others (whom you’ll meet in the series) doing extraordinary things in extraordinary places. Often reclusive (the people) & inaccessible (the places) - which is why this project is going to break a few boundaries.
The first episode will have us filming on cliff faces, which should give you some idea. Some of those cliff faces are in the remotest corners of the Kaokoveld, which should give you some more of an idea. And the man taking us there, and into some other nervous places, is Ernst van Jaarsveld - botanical explorer extraordinaire - which should convince you that we’re headed for adventure & a considerable degree of discomfort. All because of a passion for plants - and because most of them are critically endangered, and this may be our last chance to document them.
That is episode 1 - there will be 12 more - filmed in the hottest of botanical hotspots, guided & charmed by that most irresistible & endearing breed of homo explorens, the truly passionate.
